Supplemental Employer Recovery Grant Program

On October 7th, 2020, Governor Bill Lee announced the creation of the Supplemental Employer Recovery Grant (SERG) program, a small business relief program designed to reimburse eligible business owners for direct expenses or business interruption costs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The application window will open October 7, 2020 and remain open until December 29, 2020, or until all funds are depleted. Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Applicants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the program guidelines, definitions, and FAQs before beginning the application process. Once started, applications cannot be saved.

Business owners can use the calculator to determine their estimated SERG benefit. Awards are capped at $30,000. However, businesses located in low to moderate income (“LMI”) census tracts, Opportunity zones, or Promise zones will receive an additional $500 added to the maximum allowable expenses.

Thank you for your interest in the Supplemental Employer Recovery Grant Program. The deadline for new application submissions and Requests For Funding has now passed. It has been our utmost pleasure serving Tennessee Small Businesses during these trying times.
